Dan Chapman, DVM - Dr. Chapman was born & raised in Santa Maria, CA.  After graduating high school in 1983, he moved to Quincy, CA to attend Feather River College where he attained an A.S in Wildlife Biology.  He transferred to Cal Poly S. U., San Luis Obispo where he pursued his goal of becoming a veterinarian.  He received a B.S. in Animal Science and was an active leader in the pre-vet club and curriculum.
     He was accepted to & attended veterinary school at UC Davis.  After graduation Dr. Chapman worked in Live Oak, Ca and Redding, Ca for a year prior to getting accepted to the Equine Practice Residency Program at Auburn University, Alabama.  The residency program at Auburn trained Dr. Chapman in the most advanced knowledge & technologies in equine medicine & surgery.  During that time he taught 4th year veterinary students in the clinical practices of equine medicine & surgery. 
     After completion of his residency program, he relocated to Redding, Ca in 1998 to practice at a local hospital.  He started his own business, Chapman Equine, in May 2005.
     Besides being an equine practioner & business owner, Dr. Chapman enjoys skiing at Mt. Shasta Ski Park, boating on our 3 local lakes, deer hunting, hiking, and of course, spending time with his wonderful McNab dog, Scully.
Dr danielle Chapman 

      Kim - office manager - has been the bedrock for Chapman Equine keeping the business side in stellar order.  She has over 20 years experience working with veterinary businesses and almost 40 years working with small businesses.  She enjoys her time with her horse "Matt" who she saved and has provided a wonderful home for over 15 years. Kim

     Rick - tech - has more than 20 years experience working as an Equine Veterinary Technician.  Growing up in Whitmore has led him to be an avid hunter & outdoorsman.  He has an A.S. Degree from Shasta College & has attended multiple CE classes on Equine Veterinary Medicine.  Rick enjoys taking his horse "Macho" into the wilderness for hunting excursions.

     Kelly - tech - was born and raised in the Seattle area.  Kelly has 14 years experience working as a veterinary technician with equine and small animals, and has worked with Shasta Wildlife, Turtle Bay & several local rescue groups.  She has an A.S. degree from Shasta College in Veterinary Technology with an agricultural emphasis. 
     Before moving to Redding in 1998 she lived & worked at a Christian Retreat Center with over 40 horses & 9 various other domestic animals, as a wrangler, trail guide, & certified instructor through CHA.

     Christine - website/tech - has been with Chapman Equine since 2009.  She loves all sorts of animals and has her own 20 acre farm.  However her passion is horses and enjoys working with Dr. Chapman and his clients. 
     Christine has an A.A degree from College of the Redwoods with emphasis in Animal Science and Agricultural Business. She also earned certificates in Equine Reproduction and Shipped Semen from Colorado State University 1997.
